Tailor Your Invoice Layout for Clarity and Professionalism
With Fynlo’s Invoice Designer, you have full control over the content shown in your invoice’s item table. Whether you want to present detailed line items or simplify your layout for readability, you can customize exactly which fields and totals appear. This helps you deliver invoices that match your branding and meet your clients’ expectations.
Why Customize the Table?
Customizing your invoice table lets you:
✅ Show only the details your clients need (e.g., hide unit prices or descriptions)
✅ Rename fields to match your industry language (e.g., “Rate” instead of “Unit Price”)
✅ Choose which totals to display (e.g., subtotal, tax, discount, final total)
✅ Make your invoices easier to read and more aligned with your business style\
📌 You can add up to 3 custom fields per invoice.
How to Edit Table Details
Step 1: Open the Edit Table Window
Step 1: Navigate to Income -> Invoices from the left panel.
Step 2: In the Invoices table, locate the invoice you’d like to customize and select the corresponding record.
Step 3: On the right side of the table, click the three-dot menu (⋯) option and choose Design from the dropdown menu.
Step 4: In the preview, hover over the invoice table and click the Edit Table with icon (🖉) above the “Amount” column.
Step 5: This opens the Edit Table Details pop-up, which has two tabs: Items and Summary.
Customize the "Items" Section
The Items section controls what details are shown for each line item.
-
Toggle fields on/off – Use the switch beside each item (e.g., Item Name, Description, Quantity, Unit Price, Amount).
Blue = shown on the invoice
Gray = hidden from view
-
Edit field labels – Click the 🖉 icon beside a field name to rename it.
Example: Change “Unit Price” to “Rate” to match your business terms.
Customize the "Summary" Section
The Summary section controls the totals at the bottom of your invoice table.
You can toggle on/off the following rows:
Sub Total – Total before tax or discounts
Discount – Total discount applied
Tax – Total tax amount
Total – Final amount after all calculations
Each toggle works just like the Items section—switch it blue to show, gray to hide.
Step 6: Click the Saves button at the bottom of the pop-up.
Your invoice preview will instantly update to reflect your custom layout.
Customizing invoice tables is especially helpful if you work with different clients who require different levels of detail. Take a few minutes to configure your layout—you’ll create cleaner, more personalized invoices every time.
