Modify Default Fields for a Cleaner, Professional Look
Fynlo’s Invoice Designer gives you full control over how invoice details are presented. Whether you want to rename labels, remove irrelevant fields, or rearrange the layout, customizing your invoice ensures it reflects your brand and meets your client’s expectations.
This guide walks you through how to modify the default fields on your invoices.
Why Customize Invoice Fields?

Step-by-Step: How to Modify Default Fields in Your Invoice
Step 1: Go to Income -> Invoices from the left-hand navigation panel.
Step 2: Locate the invoice you want to customize and click on the corresponding row to open it.
Step 3: Click the three dots (⋮) on the right-hand side of the invoice, then choose Design from the dropdown menu to open the Invoice Designer.
Step 4: On the left-hand sidebar, locate the Invoice Settings section.
Step 5: Click on Modify Default Fields to open the “Edit Document Field” pop-up window.
Edit, Reorder, or Remove Fields
Inside the pop-up window, you can:
Rearrange Fields
Click and hold the reorder icon (three horizontal lines) next to a field, then drag it up or down to change its position.-
Toggle Fields On/Off
Each field has a switch:✅ Toggle ON (green) to display.
❌ Toggle OFF (gray) to hide.
Use this to remove fields that don’t apply to your business or to simplify your invoices.
Rename Field Labels
Click the edit icon (pencil) beside a field to rename it.
Example: Change “Invoice No.” to “Ref No.” or “Transaction ID”.
Step 5: Once done, click Save at the bottom of the pop-up.
Your invoice preview will update instantly, reflecting all layout and label changes.
