Fynlo allows you to delete pending estimates to help keep your records clean and organized. However, there are restrictions in place to ensure financial data remains accurate and traceable. This guide will walk you through when deletion is possible, when it’s restricted, and how to safely remove an estimate from your list.
When Can You Delete an Estimate?
Estimates can be deleted only if they are still marked as “Pending.” This applies to drafts or proposals that have not been finalized or linked to any invoices. Common use cases include:
Internal drafts created for review
Estimates for deals that were cancelled
Duplicate entries that haven’t progressed
When Can’t You Delete an Estimate?
To maintain financial accuracy, Fynlo restricts the deletion of estimates that are already tied to other financial actions.
You cannot delete an estimate if:
It has already been converted to an invoice
It is no longer in a pending state
It’s involved in any finalized financial process
These controls help prevent accidental data loss and protect your transaction history.
How to Delete a Pending Estimate
To remove a pending estimate:
Step 1: From your Fynlo dashboard, navigate to Income ->Estimates
Step 1: Locate the estimate you want to delete and make sure its status is Pending.
Step 1: Click the three dots (⋮) next to the estimate.
Step 1: From the dropdown, choose Delete.
Step 1: A prompt will appear to confirm. Click Yesto finalize.
⚠️ Important Reminder: Deleting an estimate is permanent and cannot be undone. Always double-check the estimate details before confirming.
Why Estimate Deletion Is Limited
Fynlo is designed to help users maintain transparent and audit-ready records. That’s why only estimates in a non-finalized state can be removed. Once an estimate is converted or processed, it becomes part of your financial record and must remain intact.
