Easily manage your client database by deleting or deactivating clients while keeping transaction records intact.
Deleting client information is a straightforward process, but it comes with important conditions. If a client is linked to transactions (such as invoices or estimates), you won’t be able to delete them to ensure the integrity of your records. Instead, you can deactivate the client to keep their data accessible, but prevent further use.
Steps to Delete a Client
Step 1: Navigate to Clients module from the left panel to view your client list.
Step 2: Choose the client you want to delete.
Step 2: Check if the client is linked to any transactions (e.g., invoices, estimates).
- If the client has no linked transactions, the option to delete will be available.
- If the client is linked to transactions (e.g., invoices or estimates), deletion will not be allowed.
Step 3: If the option is available, click the Delete button.
Step 4: Click the Proceed button to finalize the deletion.
✅ Success! The client has been deleted.
What to Do if the Client Cannot Be Deleted
If the client is linked to transactions:
Deactivate the Client—Mark the client as inactive. This ensures their data remains intact but prevents future use.
⚠️ Important Reminder
A client cannot be deleted if they are linked to transactions, as it would disrupt your existing records.
Deactivation keeps all client data safe while ensuring your list remains clean and organized.
