Easily upload expense data into Fynlo using a guided import process.
Managing large volumes of expense data—especially when switching platforms or updating records—can be time-consuming. Fynlo's import feature helps you bring invoice data into the system accurately and efficiently, reducing manual entry and saving time.
How to Import a Single Expense
Step 1: Navigate to Expenses ->Importto start the process.
Step 2: Click the Import at the top of the page to initiate your upload process.
Step 3: Download the Sample File
Click Download Sample File to get a pre-formatted template. This file ensures your data is structured correctly for import.
💡Tip: Keep a copy of the sample file as a reusable template to avoid formatting errors in future imports.
Step 4: Fill Out the Template
Open the downloaded file and input your invoice data. The following fields are required:

📌 Missing required fields may result in import errors.
Step 5: Once completed, save the file on your computer in the correct format (e.g., .xlsx or .csv).
Step 6: Drag and drop the file into the uploader box on the Import page, or click Browse to select the file from your device.
Step 7: Map Fields and Review Data
Fynlo will prompt you to map the columns in your file to system fields.
Ensure that all mandatory fields are matched properly to avoid data issues.
Step 8: Click the Save button to process your data upload.
Step 9: Confirm and Fix Errors (If Any)
If any errors are found:

Saveagain to revalidate your data
🟥 Warning: You must resolve all errors before proceeding with the import.
Step 10: Once the data is validated, click the Confirm button.
Wait for a success message indicating the data has been imported successfully.
Step 11: Review Your Uploaded Data
Navigate back to the Expenses page to view the newly imported record(s).
✅ Your data is now in the system and ready for use.
