The Status feature helps you easily manage which accounts are active or inactive in your Chart of Accounts.
This makes it simple to keep your list organized β showing only the accounts currently in use while retaining historical records for inactive ones.
Understanding Account Status
Each account in your Chart of Accounts has a Status indicator that shows whether itβs:
π’ Active β The account is currently in use and appears in transactions and reports.
π΄ Inactive β The account is hidden from active selections but remains in your records for reference or reporting purposes.
πͺ How to Update Account Status
Option 1: Change Status for a Single Account
Go to your Chart of Accounts.
Find the account you want to update.
Click the Status toggle beside the account name.
Turn it on to set the account as Active.
Turn it off to set it as Inactive.
Option 2: Bulk Update Multiple Accounts
Tick the checkboxes beside the accounts you want to update.
Click the Bulk Action button at the top.
Choose Set Active or Set Inactive.
Confirm your changes β the selected accounts will update instantly.
π‘ Tips
Inactive accounts canβt be used in new transactions but will stay in your reports for accuracy.
Use Display Settings to show or hide the Status column in your COA view.
You can reactivate an account anytime by switching its status back to Active.
