You can easily update details of an existing account in your Chart of Accounts (COA). This is helpful when renaming accounts, adding descriptions, or adjusting account information to keep your financial records clear and accurate.
Steps to Edit an Account
Step 1: Go to Accounting → Chart of Accounts from the left-side menu.
Step 2: Locate the Account to Edit
Scroll through your account list or use the Search bar to quickly find the account you want to modify.
Step 3: Click Edit on the right side of the selected account row.
This opens the Edit Account window.

The Edit Account window will display key account details such as Name, Account Type, Number, Currency, and Description.
Step 4: Update Account Details
Edit the fields as needed:
Name – Change the account name for better clarity.
Account Type – (If editable) Update the classification to match your account purpose.
Description – Add or modify additional details for internal reference.
💡 Tip: Use clear and specific descriptions to make reports easier to understand.
📌 Note: Some fields (e.g., Account Number or Currency) may be locked to maintain system consistency.
Step 5: Click Save
After making the necessary updates, click Save to apply the changes.

Step 6: Review Your Changes
Return to the Chart of Accounts page and verify that your edits appear correctly.
