Need to bulk add accounts to your Chart of Accounts? Follow this step-by-step guide to import them quickly and accurately using Fynlo’s built-in import tool.
Step 1: Navigate to the Chart of Accounts (COA). Then, click Import to start the process.
Step 2: Click Download Sample File to get a pre-formatted template.
This ensures your data follows the correct structure for a successful upload.
💡 Tip: Save a copy of the sample file as your reusable template for future imports. It helps prevent formatting issues and saves time.
Step 3: Open the downloaded file and enter your account details.
Make sure to fill in all required fields to avoid validation errors during import.
📌 Note: Missing required fields may cause the import to fail.
Step 4: Once complete, save your file on your computer in one of the supported formats:
.xlsx(Excel).csv(Comma-Separated Values)
Step 5: On the Import page, you can:
Drag and drop your file into the upload box, or
Click Browse to manually select your file from your device.
Step 6: Map Fields and Review
Fynlo will prompt you to map your file columns to the corresponding system fields.
✅ Make sure all mandatory fields are correctly mapped before proceeding.
Step 7: Click Save to begin processing your uploaded data.
Fynlo will validate your entries and check for possible errors.
Step 8: Review and Fix Errors (If Any)
If errors are found:
A toggle will appear to view the error list.
Click Edit to correct the issues — error messages will appear under each affected field.
After fixing, click Save again to revalidate.
🟥 Important: You must resolve all errors before confirming the import.
Step 9: Confirm and Complete the Import
Once validation is successful, click Confirm.
Wait for the success message — this means your data has been successfully imported.
Step 10: Return to the Chart of Accounts page to review your newly imported records.
Your data is now live and ready for use in the system.
