Hi Fynlo users! 👋 We’ve introduced a brand-new onboarding experience to help you get started faster and more confidently. The new “Get Started” panel on your dashboard walks you through key setup tasks like creating invoices, adding clients, and linking payment methods.
We’ve also added smart improvements to protect your work, including an unsaved data warning for invoice and expense forms, plus better file management for expenses. These updates are designed to make Fynlo even more intuitive, reliable, and easy to use.
New Features and Enhancements
✅ Guided Onboarding from the Dashboard
When you log in for the first time or if your account setup is still incomplete, you’ll see a new “Get Started” panel front and center on your dashboard.
This includes:
- A clear checklist of essential tasks like Dashboard Tour, Invoice Tour, Create Your First Invoice, Track Expenses, Manage Multiple Clients, and Set Up Budgets
- A real-time progress tracker showing your current onboarding status (e.g., “3 of 6 tasks completed”) so you know exactly what’s left to do
⚙️ Actionable Setup Tasks
Each task in the list includes:
- “Do It Now”: This button takes you directly to the screen or pop-up where you can complete the task, no guesswork needed
- “Mark as Complete”: If you’ve already finished a task manually, just mark it done to update your progress
- Once completed, tasks slide down into a “Completed” section for easy reference. You can also undo them anytime if you want to revisit
🎥 Interactive Walkthroughs & Tooltips
Several tasks include built-in walkthroughs to guide you step-by-step. After completing one walkthrough, you’ll be presented with a list of others, so you can continue learning without navigating back to the Get Started page.
These tooltips and tours are designed to help you understand the platform with zero confusion.
🧠 Smart Dashboard Adaptation
Once all setup tasks are marked complete, the “Get Started” panel will automatically hide from your main dashboard and sidebar, leaving you with a clean, focused workspace.
Want to revisit onboarding later? You can access it anytime via your Profile menu (top right corner of the screen).
📎 New Feature: Bulk Attachments for Expenses
Need to attach several files to your expenses at once? You can now upload multiple documents in one go using the new Bulk Attachments tool. Just head to Expenses → Bulk Attachments and stay organized without repetitive uploads.

🛡️ Improvement: Unsaved Data Warning
Applies to: Invoice and Expense Forms
We’ve added a helpful warning to protect your work from accidental loss. If you’ve started filling out the Create Invoice form and try to click “Cancel” or click outside the window without saving, a pop-up will now appear asking:
“You have unsaved changes on this Invoice. If you cancel now, all entered data will be lost. What would you like to do?”
You can choose:
- Discard Changes – exit without saving
- Continue Editing – return to your form and keep working
- Save Invoices
✅ This ensures that your data is safe and you're in control.
🔧 Fix: Missing PDF on Estimates
We fixed a bug where PDFs were missing on client estimate emails. All estimates now send with the correct attachments—ensuring your clients get complete and professional documentation every time.
