AI credits are consumed in Fynlo when scanning receipts, invoices, or other expense documents.
AI-Powered Scanning Actions
- Receipt Scans: 1 AI credit is used per receipt scanned.
- Invoice Scans: 1 AI credit is used per invoice scanned.
- Multi-Page Documents: 1 AI credit is used per document, regardless of the number of pages or line items.
- Batch Uploads: Each document in a batch consumes 1 AI credit.
Actions That Do NOT Consume Credits
- Manually creating or editing expenses
- Viewing expense dashboards or reports
- Exporting data
- Creating invoices manually
Only AI-powered extraction actions consume credits. Manual actions do not deduct from your balance.
Monitoring Credits During Scanning
- Your current AI credit balance is visible in Account Settings and in the AI Expense Beta tab.
- Notifications appear if your credits are running low during scanning operations.
- Plan large scans efficiently to optimize the use of your AI credits.
Tips for Efficient AI Credit Usage
- Combine multiple receipts into a single document where possible.
- Edit scanned data manually instead of rescanning to save credits.
