If you uploaded receipts to Google Drive but Fynlo hasn’t scanned them yet, don’t worry — Google Drive sometimes takes a little time to sync. Here’s how to fix slow or delayed syncing.
✅ Make Sure the File Is Fully Uploaded
Before Fynlo can scan anything:
Check that the upload is 100% complete
Refresh Google Drive
Make sure the file isn’t stuck on “Waiting…” or “Processing…”
If upload is still pending → wait until it finishes.
✅ Click “Sync Drive” in Fynlo
Inside Fynlo → AI Expense:
Open AI Expense
Go to Drive Folder
Click 🔄 Sync Drive
This forces Fynlo to refresh files directly from your Google Drive.
✅ Check File Type
Fynlo only scans supported file types:
JPG / JPEG
PNG
PDF
HEIC
If the file isn’t supported, convert or re-upload it.
✅ Ensure the File Is Inside the Correct Folder
Fynlo only scans the folder you connected (and its subfolders).
Make sure your receipt is inside the correct folder — not outside, not in another directory.
✅ Avoid Uploading Too Many Files at Once
Large batches may delay Google Drive syncing.
For faster scanning:
Upload fewer files at a time
Wait for Drive to finish syncing
🔧 Check Your Internet Connection
Google Drive uploads can slow down if:
The connection is unstable
You’re uploading large images or PDFs
You switched networks mid-upload
Try:
Refreshing your browser
Reconnecting to WiFi
Using Google Drive desktop app for faster uploads
🟡 Wait 1–3 Minutes (Normal Behavior)
Google Drive sometimes takes a short delay before files become available to external apps.
If scanning is delayed:
Wait 1–3 minutes
Then click Sync Drive again
Don’t Use:
Zipped folders
Files larger than 25MB
Blurry photos that AI cannot read
These may fail or slow scanning.
