Add custom measurement units for accurate item tracking
Creating a Unit of Measurement (UOM) helps you standardize how item quantities are recorded across your system. This ensures consistency in inventory, orders, and reports. Follow the steps below to add a new UOM.
Step 1: On the left-hand navigation panel, click Setting. Then select Unit of Measurement.
This will take you to the main UOM list page.
Step 2: On the Unit of Measurement page, click the + New UOM button in the top-right corner of the table.
A New UOM pop-up window will appear.
Step 3: Fill in the required information in the pop-up:
Name (Required):
The standardized label for your unit.
Examples: SACK, LITER, BOX-LARGE, PACK, SETDescription (Optional):
Add a brief explanation for clarity.
Examples: “Large sack for grains,” “Standard shipping box size”
Step 4: Click Save once you're done.
✅ UOM Successfully Created
Your new unit of measurement is now added to your list and ready to use across items, inventories, sales, and purchase transactions.
