Remove a UOM permanently from your system settings
This article explains how to permanently delete an existing Unit of Measurement (UOM) from your workspace.
Step 1: In the left-hand navigation panel, click Settings. Then, select Unit of Measurement.
This will open the full list of UOMs in your system.
Step 2: On the Unit of Measurement page, locate the UOM you want to remove.
Step 3: On the right side of the row, click the Delete (Trash Can) icon.
A confirmation pop-up titled Delete [UOM Name] will appear, showing the warning:
“Can't recover after the operation; do you still want to continue?”
Step 3: Confirm Deletion
You now have two options:
Proceed—Permanently deletes the UOM.
Cancel—Closes the pop-up and keeps the UOM.
⚠️Important Reminder: Deleting a UOM is irreversible and may affect existing records such as items or transactions that currently use this unit.
Make sure the UOM is no longer needed before proceeding.
Once confirmed, the UOM will be permanently removed from your system.
It will no longer appear in the UOM list or be available for use in items, transactions, or inventory updates.
