If you ever need to stop syncing or switch to a different Google account, you can easily disconnect or reconnect Google Drive in Fynlo’s AI Expense.
This guide walks you through how to safely manage your connection without losing your existing expense data.
⚙️ Why You Might Need to Disconnect or Reconnect
You may need to:
- Use a different Google account
- Change the folder location for your receipts
- Reconnect after changing your Google password
- Troubleshoot syncing issues or missing files
Step 1: Access the AI Expense Page
- Log in to your account at manage.fynloapps.com.
- From the left-hand menu, click AI Expense.
- Go to the Drive tab to see your current Google Drive connection.
Step 2: Disconnect Google Drive
- Click Disconnect Drive.
- A pop-up will confirm your action — select Proceed.
- You’ll see a confirmation message that your Drive has been disconnected.
⚠️ Note: Disconnecting will stop the syncing process between Fynlo and your Drive.
Your previously scanned receipts will remain visible in the system (Receipt Tab), but no new files will sync until you reconnect.
Step 3: Reconnect Google Drive
To reconnect:
- Go back to the Drive tab.
- Click Connect Google Drive.
- Sign in with your preferred Google account and grant access permissions.
- Choose your receipt folder again.
Once connected, the message “Receipt Processing in Progress” will appear as the AI resumes scanning.
Step 4: Verify Connection and Sync
After reconnecting:
- Upload a new test receipt to your linked folder.
- Check the Receipts tab to confirm it appears within a few minutes.
- You’ll also receive an email confirmation once scanning completes.
✅ Tip: Always use the same folder path as before to avoid duplicates.
🧠 Troubleshooting Tips
| Issue | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Drive connection failed | Expired Google authorization | Log out of Google, then reconnect via Fynlo |
| Folder not syncing | Old folder path no longer valid | Re-select the correct Drive folder |
| Old data missing | Cache issue | Refresh the AI Expense page or clear browser cache |
🔐 Security Note
Disconnecting removes Fynlo’s access token from your Google account immediately.
Fynlo cannot access or read your Drive after disconnection.
📌 Key Reminder
Disconnecting does not delete your scanned data in Fynlo.
It only stops future syncing until you reconnect.
