Adding a late fee term to an invoice ensures that clients are automatically charged additional fees if they fail to pay on time. Here's how to include it when creating an invoice.
📌 Step-by-Step Guide:
Log in to your Fynlo account.
Go to the "Invoices" section from the left-hand menu.
Click “+ New Invoice” to start a new invoice.
-
Fill out the invoice details:
Client Name
Items or services
Due Date
Other relevant fields
Navigate to the “Late Fee Terms” section.
-
Click the dropdown and select an existing Late Fee Term.
If no terms are listed, click +New Late Fee Term in the dropdown option to create one first.
Review all invoice details to make sure they are correct.
Click “Save” and finalize the Invoice.
🧠 What Happens Next:
The selected late fee will automatically apply after the grace period if the invoice remains unpaid.
The client will be notified of the fee as part of the invoice.
You can track overdue invoices and late fees from the Invoice or Reports section.
💡Tip: You can create multiple late fee terms in advance and apply the one that fits best for each client or case.
